# Pallet Rack Systems for Greater Houston Warehouses

A Houston warehouse can run short of storage for very different reasons: too many access aisles for repeated pallets, dated inventory hidden behind newer receipts, or long material occupying the floor beside active orders. Choosing warehouse racking starts with identifying which of those problems you actually have. We supply pallet rack, pushback, pallet flow, drive-in, cantilever, and carton flow systems, with free consultation and CAD layout planning to compare their fit. Tell us what you store, how much you hold, and how it moves through your building. The result is a proposed arrangement and an itemized quote, not a rack type chosen simply because it stores the most positions on paper.

Pick the system below that matches how your product moves, or call (713) 715-4153 and we will narrow it down with you in one conversation.

## Our Warehouse Racking Products

Six rack systems address different inventory and handling needs across greater Houston. Compare options for your building, then request a layout showing their fit.

### Pallet Rack

Also called selective pallet rack

Every pallet reachable, every time. The baseline we size everything else against.

See details
https://houstonwarehouseracking.com/products/pallet-rack

### Pushback Rack

Also called push back pallet rack system

Two to six pallets deep from one aisle, without giving up much reach.

See details
https://houstonwarehouseracking.com/products/pushback-rack

### Pallet Flow Rack

Also called flow through racking

Load one side, pick the other, and let gravity enforce first in, first out.

See details
https://houstonwarehouseracking.com/products/pallet-flow-rack

### Drive-In Rack

Also called drive through pallet racking

Deep pallet lanes reduce access aisles for bulk inventory with few SKUs.

See details
https://houstonwarehouseracking.com/products/drive-in-rack

### Cantilever Rack

Also called cantilever warehouse racking

Arms with nothing in front of them, built for lumber, pipe, and anything a pallet can't hold.

See details
https://houstonwarehouseracking.com/products/cantilever-rack

### Carton Flow Rack

Also called carton flow shelving

Cases advance to the picker instead of the picker hunting for cases.

## Choosing Between Rack Types

Four things decide the answer: how many SKUs you carry, how many pallets you hold of each one, how fast product turns, and how much height the building gives you.

Many SKUs with a pallet or two each point to selective pallet rack. Several pallets of the same item favor pushback. Date-driven rotation calls for pallet flow. Large volumes of a few items in a tight footprint suit drive-in. Long material needs cantilever, and case picking needs carton flow.

## Why Houston Warehouses Work With Us

The industrial corridors around Beltway 8, the Ship Channel, and I-10 West handle different mixes of material. A supplier handling long pipe in Pasadena needs a different storage zone than a Katy fulfillment operation picking cartons. We start by understanding that mix, then check the building plan, staging, and access requirements against the proposed equipment.

As a division of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co., Houston Warehouse Racking connects the consultation, drawing, itemized quote, and installation-partner coordination. We explain where direct access matters, where lane depth helps, and where a dedicated picking face is the better investment. You can compare storage methods on the same floor plan rather than compare isolated catalog prices.

Our Houston contact remains available for later changes. Keep the approved drawing and component information so additions, replacements, and a move to another building can begin with a configuration review instead of another round of guesswork.

## From Storage Requirements to an Approved Layout

Begin with load dimensions and weights, quantities by SKU, receipt and picking frequency, and usable building height. Include the floor plan with columns, doors, and staging marked. Pallet systems need pallet and handling-equipment information; cantilever needs bundle stiffness and support requirements; carton flow needs carton sizes, weight range, and replenishment demand.

We turn those inputs into rows, lanes, or picking levels with the working access shown. Selective rack preserves direct access. Pushback trades some access for reserve depth. Pallet flow supports first-in, first-out rotation. Drive-in consolidates bulk inventory. Cantilever supports long loads, and carton flow presents cases at a defined pick face. Many operations need a combination, but that decision follows the inventory rather than a rule.

The quote should identify the structure, support components, accessories, capacities, delivery scope, and installation allowance. Review the drawing and assumptions before approving the order. Receiving windows and released work zones are then coordinated with installation partners so material staging is part of the plan.

If your project involves a new building, review reusable rack and added capacity together. Our warehouse relocation service (https://houstonwarehouseracking.com/warehouse-relocation) covers teardown, labeling, transport coordination, and reinstallation planning, with destination requirements included in the scope.
